10th April 2010 Mt. Biking: Thetford Forest Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 16 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: 12 miles + (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) With a really good forecast and no wind until Sunday Mag and I decided to go for the first trip away in our camper :) On the Friday we met up with the whole Hurrel family which was great as we had'nt seen them for awhile,but the visit was tinged with sadness as Linda had just lost her mum :( We arrived at our campsite - Thorpe Woodlands late and had fish and chips :) Saturday dawned sunny and still so after a lay in and a walk along the river we headed off on our bikes in search of a paper shop !!! We were gone 5 hours and covered 12 miles plus !!! which included forest path ways and country roads.We found a shop in East Harling and then had a wonderful hour by the river near Bridgham.Back to the van abit sore but happy and a big fry-up :) So a great first trip out in which we saw loads of wild life which included deer,hare,swans,woodpecker,fox etc etc and I still made it back to Felixstowe for a windsurd !!!! |
